Applications for the Modern Manufacturing Initiative have begun to open with application dates varying for each National Manufacturing Priority.

Overview

  • The Government is committing $1.3 billion to the Manufacturing Modernisation Initiative (MMI) to help manufacturers scale and compete internationally.
  • The grants will be delivered through an open, competitive, merit-based program.
  • The minimum grant amount is $1 million. The maximum grant amount is $20 million.
  • The grant amount will be up to 50 per cent of eligible project expenditure.

Three targeted streams

  • The Manufacturing Translation Stream will help manufacturers translate good ideas into commercial outcomes and invest in non-R&D innovation.
