Overview

The program provides financial assistance to start-ups and SMEs undertaking R&D activities. Specifically, CSIRO is offering matched funding for R&D activities undertaken with CSIRO. The program will assist eligible businesses with prototype development, process improvements, and R&D testing.

Benefits

Kick-start vouchers valued between $10,000 and $50,000 are available on a co-contribution basis. These vouchers will enable start-ups and businesses to access the facilities and skill sets of CSIRO, enhancing their R&D capabilities. Projects with an eligible spend of $20,000 and greater will be considered.

Kick-Start vouchers can be used to cover the following CSIRO costs:

  • Salary and on-costs of researchers;
  • Travel and accommodation;
  • Overheads, operating and admin costs;
  • Consumables;
  • External facilities, services and contractors.

  • Your project might be eligible if it includes:

Research into a new idea or discovery with commercial potential;
