A tariff concession order or TCO serves to reduce the cost of goods by allowing for duty-free status on items that are not produced locally in Australia.

Duty-free status means local consumers save money!

While importers enjoy more business and more profit since they can charge duty-free prices!

TCOs may be applicable for most items with a few exceptions, like some foods clothes and automobiles.

A tariff concession order is granted for an imported good if there’s no substitutable item produced in Australia. But you need to apply!
