Saving Point’s recent China-Australia Free Trade Agreement (ChAFTA) Breakfast Seminar at the beautiful Yarra Yarra Golf Club was a valuable opportunity for many Melbourne-based importers/exporters to learn more about this upcoming development.

We were pleased to welcome guest speaker Estelle Parker (Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade), who presented a highly informative an in-depth seminar on ChAFTA and how it may affect Australian businesses.

China is Australia’s most prominent export market, and ChAFTA offers further opportunities to expand the mutually-beneficial relationship between the two countries. Initially, more than 85% of tariffs on Australian goods will be removed, which will increase to 95% upon complete implementation.
